England Hockey have confirmed that the lockdown coming into place in England from 5 November means that all club hockey activities will also cease from that date. The full statement from England Hockey can be found here.

The suspension of hockey activities will last until at least 2 December. In the meantime, all league committees will be considering the implications for the resumption of the leagues and these will be communicated in due course.

Will clubs be asked how they would wish to potentially catch up on the fixtures if we do get back into playing again?

    Thank you for your question.
It is difficult to answer definitively as we do not have certainty about when we will be permitted to play again and at what step of the EH Return to Play guidance this will be.
Before the start of the season both the women’s and men’s league committees recognised that this season may not proceed uninterrupted and with the agreement of the clubs issued procedures to cover such a scenario. Both league committees undertook to review the position during November and to make amendments if required. These reviews are currently taking place. Without wanting to prejudice the method or outcome of these reviews, if you have specific requests, please address these to your relevant divisional/county representative in the first instance, so that they can be fed into the review.
